I had the rare opportunity of going to visit my family all by myself. Steve was very gracious to give me five days away and it was fabulous to have a break from responsibility. I stayed with Scott and Shelley, my brother and sister-in-law, and their three dogs. They live in the small town of Garfield, WA about an hour south of Spokane.

Valerie, Kady, and I went apple picking. It was a fabulous afternoon. Kady especially enjoyed when we pressed cider.

I got the best welcome home. The boys tackled me and wouldn't let me go. I felt so loved and appreciated and am convinced that a few days away once in a while is good for all involved!
